The Holidays!
The holidays are upon us folks. First stop, Brooke’s birthday party. Well, you know you are getting old when you start counting your age in years, for goodness sake. It happened to my cousin Brooke last month. She turned 2!
Next stop, Thanksgiving. I give thanks for my Mommy, my Daddy, my GramE, and my Grampa…
…and to Andre and Paula and Vic and Tina and Barbara for coming to watch me eat my first turkey…
… and to Great Grandma for singing the best lulla-byes…
… and to Uncle Pete for telling me the secret to growing big and tall like him…
… and to Chico’s funny faces.
They say your first word is an indication of your future personality. “Yes” means you will be an optimist. “No” means you will be a pessimist. “Mommy” means you will be a Mommy’s boy. My first word means I will be causing a lot of trouble in my day.
“Momma, there is a pine tree in our house and it just laid a blue egg!”
Actually, our final stop today is Christmas! Of course, I waited until the last minute to do my shopping but found the perfect gifts even so. For Mommy, I gave her my first steps. “Watch this Momma!”
For Daddy, I gave him a Swifter. “Daddy, you really need to help out around the house a bit more”.
For Grampa, I said I would mow his lawn… or his living room.
For GramE, I gave a big smile in front of her beautiful tree.
For Grampy, I let him decorate my face.
For Mimi, I got her a game of Paddy Cake.
For Cousin Brooke, I gave her the first customer at her new kitchen.
For Tia Heather, I sat quietly for my bed time story.
For Uncle Jason, I let him push my new bike.
For Uncle Beast, I gave him a slap shot.
For all of you I gave a white Christmas. Did you get out and enjoy it like me?
Well have a great new year and come to my birthday party. It is on January 5th. There will be dancing like this...
