“Hauoli La Hanau!!”

“Aloha” Everyone!

Christmas is over.  New Years has come and gone.  You know what that means.  My Birthday!!!

To acknowledge my name and its Hawaiian roots, we threw a “Luau” and invited all my friends and family.
Here we are partying at the “Luau”…

…just kidding.  This is the wonderful cake Mommy made me.  Take a better look.  Amazing!

We spent all week preparing the feast.

My favorite part was not the food or the presents but having everyone that made my first year special in one place.

Here I am with my “Makuahine” and “Makua kāne”.  We were all dressed up for the party.

My “Hoahānau”, Brooke, came as a fairy with Tia Heather and Tao Jay.  We had fun playing all day.

Of course, my “Pili Mua” came from Holden and my “Kupuna wahine” from Essex.  Unfortunately, “Kupuna kāne” had to fix a leaky swimming pool.

GramE and Grampa were off to see Uncle Beast in the big hills.  He could not make the Luau but sent me some great sports gear and ski stuff.

My “Hoaloha” Trish and Jon...

… and “Greg and Allison” brought a lot of laughs to the party.

I had so much fun playing with my “Hoa nohos”, Fiona, Beckett, and Will.  Will and I have another thing in common.  He is going to be a big brother too!  Unfortunately, my buddy Jack could not come because he had the sniffles but his mommy Lynn came to say hello to everyone.

What is a Luau without Uncle Chico dressed as a red “Īlio” and Uncle Pete in the background watching the crowd.

My favorite is everyone singing and blowing out the candles.

OK Mimi, Daddy says now that I am 1 I need a job.  Get those Help Wanted ads out.
