Learning the Alphabet

Hey folks,

Summer is here!!!  My goal this summer is to learn the alphabet, front to back.  Here is my first attempt...

A is for Aunti Mari.  She sends us BIG care packages.  She sent us the best one ever last month … It was her!!!

B is for Beard.  I made a beard out of sour cream.  It tasted good.

C is for Curious George.  Every night since I was 4 months old I have gone to sleep with my Curious George.  A few weeks ago, I lost him at the shopping mall.  Mommy took us back the next day and checked every store until we found him.  He showed up in the lost in found.  Hooray for Mommy!   Hooray for George!

D is for Daddy.  Daddy loves it when we wake him up really early on Saturday morning.

Zane, Daddy, and I play with trucks all day.

E is for Elephant.  This is the first time I ever saw an elephant.  They have a trunk just like a car but you cannot put suitcases in their trunk, just peanuts.

F is for fan.  I am a huge Boston fan.  In my first full baseball season the Red Sox won the World Series.  In my first full football season the Patriots went undefeated and made it to the Superbowl.  In my first full basketball season the Celtics won the championships.  This is my lucky outfit that I wear for all the games.

G is for Grandparents and Great Grandparents.  Great Grandma came and visited with Auntie Mari.  She showed me lots of fun things.

Here I am at the zoo with Mimi…

… and playing trucks with Grampy

… and playing with seashells with GramE

… and fast a sleep with Grampa.

H is for Harmonica.  This is me playing the theme song to Bob the Builder, my favorite show.

I is for independence.  I like the independence that I have at the beach to run and play.

J is for Jack.  He is my neighbor and my friend.  He teaches me how to share.

K is for ketchup.  Take it from me, ketchup is better in your mouth than in your eyes.

L is for Lama.  You have not lived until you have stared into the face of a Lama.

M is for Mommy.  She is the first person I see every morning and it makes me smile.  I love my Mommy.

N is for Newbury Street.  We took Mommy there for Mommy’s Day.  I met a girl there but these city women have high expectations.  She wanted me to buy her that purse in the window.  I said, “You got the wrong guy sister.  I am unemployed and still live with my parents.”

O is for Ocean.  When I get angry, the ocean gets angry back.

P is for Pail.  Pails are good for science experiments.  When you put water into a pail, you can get it back.  When you put water into sand, you cannot get it back.  This video proves my thesis.

Q is for Queen Bee.  Mommy is the Queen Bee at our house.

R is for Rooster.  The rooster protects the chickens when I go to Mimis.  “Why did the chickens cross the road?”….  “Because I was chasing them.”

S is for Sloan.  These are my friends from the MIT Sloan Dad’s club.  This is Julia, Allison, and Liam.  At the club, we talk about potential disruptions that nanotechnology brings to the wearable computing sector and we talk about trucks.  I like it when we talk about trucks.

T is for Tiger.  This Tiger is just like the one in my books except when I growl he growls back.

U is for Uncle Chico.  Uncle Chico is better at comedy than he is at babysitting.  But we have a very fun time with him.

V.  I could not think of a word so I put a V on my chin.

W for Will.  He is my neighbor and my friend.  We both like the Red Sox.  We both want to be the pitcher one day but Will throws the ball harder than me.   He said I can be DH though.  I said OK!

X is for X-Ray vision.  I use my X-Ray vision to see through fences.

Y is for Yawn.  I do this when I am ready for bed.

Z is for Zane.  He is my little brother and my best friend.

He is the only person I trust George with.

I need more practice on my alphabet but I have the whole summer.  Hope to see you all soon.

Love,

Kai
