Time to Make Some Money
Hello all. Hope the fall is going well. With a global financial crisis brewing, I figured it would not hurt if I contributed to the US GDP. So, I have spent the past few weeks trying out a few ways to make an extra buck.
I tried to be a race car driver. “Hold on there Brookie”. VROOOMMM!
But no matter which car I tried, I just could not get the pedal to the metal.

Living by the beach, I figured being a lifeguard would be a great fit.
However, rather than keeping an eye out for people in need of help, I spent all my time chasing the seagulls …
and looking for crabs.
There are other ways to be around water besides lifeguarding. For example, I tried plumbing but had trouble with this clog… and may have caused it.
I had the great fortune of seeing one of my favorite celebrities… animal expert Jeff Corwin
It got me thinking. Maybe I can be an animal expert. Here are a few animal imitations.
When I see this picture, I think the goose says “boo”
Well none of those attempts worked. So I tried for a quick hit at Jeopardy.
Luck is not my game either. What about driving an ice cream truck? A kid’s dream! Unfortunately, Brooke and I did not do to well. We kept eating the ice cream.
I could be a landscaper like Uncle Jason. There is a ton of fall clean-up work. The bananas falling from the trees keep messing up my leave piles.
I could be an artist like Mimi. Here I am working at it with Stevie P.
Check out my first masterpiece.
I am always up to date with sports so perhaps I could be a sports announcer.
Or I could leverage my blog expertise to move into computer programming.
Both of these were quite complex. I figured babysitting could be easy enough. But even a practice round with George did not go too well.
Well if I cannot take care of George, maybe I can be him. So I tried one weekend. Here I am with Mommy, Daddy, and Zane.
Here I am with Will, Beckett, and Fiona from the neighborhood.
Here I am with Jack and Emma from the neighborhood.
Here I am with Liam from MIT.
After all this trial and error, I finally found my passion. Farming!
Here is Brooke and I tending to the chickens
Here I am practicing my horse ride…
And here is Brooke practicing on Papa.
GramE is teaching me to ride a tractor ….

While Mimi teaches Zane to track a goat.
“You got that Zane” says Papa.

We figured out milking a cow on our own.
“Tia, do you think we can be the best farmers of all time?”
“Let’s go Brooke. We can do it if we stick together.”
Love,
Kai,
